dasein presents stop and smell the roses

Dasein had the pleasure of hosting an event in the heart of Shoreditch: π‘ π‘‘π‘œπ‘ π‘Žπ‘›π‘‘ π‘ π‘šπ‘’π‘™π‘™ π‘‘β„Žπ‘’ π‘Ÿπ‘œπ‘ π‘’π‘ . This group show, curated by Juliet Wilson, brought together six talented London-based artists, creating an immersive experience that beautifully intertwined the olfactory and visual senses.

The Essence of Dasein

At Dasein, our mission is to infuse an extra dose of joy into your everyday moments through our handmade homeware and fragrances. Inspired by the German concept of Dasein, which emphasises presence and mindfulness, our products are designed to enhance the serenity and pleasure of your domestic environment.

A Celebration of Indulgence and the Senses

Featuring the work of six incredible artists, the show explored themes of femininity, peace, pleasure, and nature, all integral to the essence of Dasein. Each piece of art invited attendees to pause, indulge, and connect with the pleasant moments found within our immediate surroundings.

The Venue: Morrell House

Morrell House in Shoreditch provided the perfect stage for this immersive experience. Known for its serene ambiance and artistic charm, Morrell House served as a sanctuary, encouraging visitors to slow down and savor the moment. It was the ideal backdrop for an exhibition that engaged and delighted the senses.

Cocktails and Candles

To enhance the sensory experience, we designed three exclusive cocktails inspired by our best-selling candle scents: Fig Negroni, Sage & Tonic, and Smoked Honey Margarita. These unique drinks went down too well, offering guests a chance to taste the essence of Dasein. Additionally, our products were available for sale, allowing attendees to bring a piece of this immersive experience into their own homes.

An Ode to Self-Care and Stillness

π‘ π‘‘π‘œπ‘ π‘Žπ‘›π‘‘ π‘ π‘šπ‘’π‘™π‘™ π‘‘β„Žπ‘’ π‘Ÿπ‘œπ‘ π‘’π‘  was an ode to self-care and the tranquillity that can be found within our domestic environments. It encouraged a conscious connection with the moments of peace and pleasure that make our lives richer. The exhibition invited everyone to slow down, be present, and appreciate the beauty that surrounds them.

We are thrilled to have shared this journey with you. Thank you to everyone who attended and made this event such a memorable experience. If you missed it, stay tuned for more events in the future as we continue to celebrate the beauty of indulgence and the art of 'being present'.
